Walking down North 6th with a coffee and saw this man just stepping out of a side door preparing to light a cigarette. I asked if he wouldn’t mind my taking a few photos. He kindly obliged. | Brooklyn, NY

CABELL TICE PHOTOGRAPHY // THE PNW MEETS THE ANE
My brother Cabell, Boston based photography and three time World Latte Art Champion, just launched his website Cabell Tice Photography at www.cabelltice.com and he is open for business. Weddings, engagements, portraits, also some band photography in there for fun.
In a similar stylistic vane as many of my favorite photographers out of the North West like Ben Blood, The Manchiks, and Kristen Marie. He’s bringing that moving journalistic approach to the community here, and of course if you want - even to places as far as Italy.
Have a visit, enjoy his beautiful photos, and book something!
His instagram is pretty nice too.

Last year on a whim I decided to buy a Nikon FG film camera. Even though I’m a musician and if I have any creative expertise the majority of it lies there - it’s not always possible or convenient to create in a musical way so I in order to teach my hands and eyes how to do something new so I could create even away from my instrument and writing I picked up photography.
This was my first successful roll of developed film. The first two I had were exposed because I didn’t know take them out of the camera correctly - which was also a very frustrating experience because I had taken nearly three months to shoot the first roll and then a month to shoot the second. So after this roll I was determined to get it right.
These photos are from a Fall 2012 weekend visit I made to Brooklyn for a show I had with my band, Jungle Fires. During the trip we ventured around SoHo, Brooklyn for the show, Saturday morning breakfast at Le Barricou, and nights in Williamsburg.
